A Ballpoint named Piano.

Much like our repressed fantasies are revealed in everyday expressions & idiosyncrasies, Amal Peerzada uses her ballpoint pen as a vehicle to access the realm of her own unconscious, revealing a world of metamorphosing gender, of perplexing symbolism, in which she etches the unwoven fabric of our deepest emotions into dissolving bodies & faces, thus bringing to life the ghosts of a colonial past. Bringing to life inanimate fragments of our awareness. Her work is an interrogation of annihilation anxiety and Perceptual illusions of belonging in a human body.
